Our Conference

The Association’s annual conference offers a unique opportunity for members to attend workshops on issues pertinent to Public Administrators, Public Guardians, Public Conservators, deputies and other staff within the state of California. The conference lasts between three to five days and offers a variety of accredited workshops for member certification.

Mobile App for Conference Info

To cut down on paper as well as streamline access to key conference information, we will not be distributing a conference brochure this year but instead be using a mobile events app called GoEngage to provide key conference information, including speaker information and critical session materials. Since this will be the first time we will be using this app, we have created a user-friendly guide to help you navigate the process of downloading and logging into the platform from either your Apple or Android phone. Please Note: Only registered attendees can view all the features on the app including information on class sessions with access to class materials. Non-attendees will be able to view information on the venue, sponsors and exhibitors only.

Hotel & Registration Information

This years conference will be held from September 23-26, 2024 at the Orange County Hyatt in Garden Grove, CA. Online registration for the conference is scheduled to open on June 10, 2024 and will be available for sale until September 2, 2024. Any registrants the day of the event will notice a significant increase in fees as noted below. Pricing tiers for this year are found below.

Hotel Accommodations

  • Hotel rooms are $184/night + taxes & fees
  • Hotel reservation instructions will be sent in the confirmation email upon completing conference registration

The Monday cocktail party and Tuesday luncheon are included in the weekly pricing. Guest tickets for the luncheon can be purchased separately.

Two-Day Pricing

We have added two-day tickets for those wishing to attend Monday & Tuesday, Tuesday & Wednesday, or Wednesday & Thursday. We are not offering 3-day tickets as the price is more expensive than a weekly ticket.

The pricing for two-day tickets for Monday/Tuesday and Tuesday/Wednesday is as follows (Tuesday Luncheon is included):

  • Aug. 17 – Sept. 2 Regular Registration: Member $445

The pricing for two-day ticket for Wednesday/Thursday is as follows:

Additional Ticket Pricing for Guests

If you wish to purchase a Tuesday luncheon or Wednesday social event ticket for a guest, please email info@capapgpc.org and someone will be able to assist you. Pricing for these tickets is below.

  • Tuesday Luncheon Meal, Guest: $75 (Not available at Conference)

Please Note: Should you need to cancel your registration for any reason, penalty fees will be as follows:

  • Before Sept. 2: All fees will be reimbursed but a $25 administrative fee will apply
  • On or After Sept. 2: There will be no refunds.
